These delicious tuna slices have been smoked over wood from the highly perfumed mastic tree, an aromatic Mediterranean shrub of the lentiscus family found all over Sardinia, which gives a delicate herby flavour to the fish. It is a delicious and unusual alternative to smoked salmon and is best served as an antipasto with lemon juice, olive oil and black pepper. |
